One Eyed Sumo was made out of Plastruct plastic from a local hobby store.
I attempted to make the base as low as possible
so that other robots could not get under it. A single servo motor holds
a GP2D02 IR ranging sensor. The servo motor swings the sensor from side to side.
This was used to search for the opponent. A BX24 microprocessor was used as the
brains of the sumo. Two CDS cells and two Red LEDs where used to detect the edge of the ring.
The robot took a weekend to build and several late nights to program.
