Kingdom Courts was the site of the December 2005 PAReX Autonomous Event.
The turnout was great, with competitors from local high schools, and from as far
away as Tucson and Las Vegas.
Teams continue to raise the bar on ingenuity and design, with faster
Line Followers and maze runners completing Advanced and Expert levels.
Mini-Sumo continues it's popularity, with seven entries this year.
New comer Happy Jr. won the event, with four-time veteran Shadow getting 2nd, and
Wingnut rolling into 3rd.
We had no Novice Maze entries, but Slave 1 took the Advanced Maze
competition, while MegaMazer returned to once again rule the Expert Search&Rescue format.
Line following had the most entries as 9 robots hit the track. We
had everything from Lego-bots, to micro Zip-Zaps, and everything in-between. Laser easily took
a 1st place finish, with FlatLine getting 2nd, and Wingnut at 3rd.
A special thanks to club founder John Kittelsrud for once again taking all the pictures
that are featured on our event webpages!
