Shiloh Community Center was the host for the November 2006 PAReX Autonomous Event.
The turnout was great, with competitors from local high schools, and from as far
away as Tucson and Las Vegas.
This year we saw many new robots and a few returning veterans
competing in all our event formats.
Mini-Sumo had the most entries this year as 10 robots entered
the ring. Borg assimilated everything in it's path to go to a double final
against Happy Jr., with Happy Jr. taking it all for the 2nd year in a row! LarryBoy
pushed his way into a solid 3rd place.
We had no Novice or Advanced entries, but we did have 2 Expert
entries. Mini-mazer successfully completed all 3 maze configurations for 1st place,
while MegaMazer stumbled on the first run (darn blue tape), for 2nd.
Line following only had 4 entries this year with returning veterans
Laser and FlatLine. Laser easily took to the track for 1st, with FlatLine grabbing
2nd. New comer NXT received 3rd.
