PAReX Meeting Notes
We are waiting on the check from Intel for the Fab 12 open house.
The Bot Bash '99 tape is still being cut together - no word
from the director yet.
The search for a place to hold Bot Bash 2000 is still underway,
Compton Terrace is being looked at. Also airparks such as Falcon
Field in Mesa and the Goodyear Airpark are also under
consideration.
UPDATE: Bob Pitzer has made arrangements for
BotBash 2000 to be held at the Confederate Air Museum in Mesa, AZ
on May 6th & 7th (registration on Friday May 5th)
A tentative date of May 6-7 has been set for BB 2K; registration
will be on Friday night.
The High School competition rules are still under revision; they
are expected to be finalized soon.
In the autonomous competition class, Mike R. has the rules and
also designs for three mazes.
BotBash 2000 Rule Refinements: BB 2K combat time has been set to
four minutes, no carbide tips that are welded on. However combatants
may file for an exception.
Battle Bots will be on Pay Per View, Jan 29th. Bob P.
is making arrangements for a party that night so we can all see it.
PAReX is still going to be obligated to put on the robotics
exhibit at the Hamilton High science fair on March 4th.
Everyone needs to build a robot!
The next meeting will be held at the RadioShack.com building in
Mesa. Directions will be furnished in the next agenda mailing.
